Dr. Rachel Baublet Head was born and raised in Nacogdoches and was proud to return to serve East Texas in the summer of 2014. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Texas A&M University and she continues to be a loyal Aggie fan. She earned her medical degree at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, then went on to complete her general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Mississippi in Jackson. Dr. Head is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology. She enjoys many areas of general and pediatric urology including: kidney stones, minimally invasive treatment for enlarged prostate, urinary incontinence and overactive bladder, men’s health issues, bladder, kidney and prostate cancers, voiding dysfunction and childhood urologic disorders. She is a member of the American Urology Association, Texas Medical Association, Society of Women in Urology, and Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Head is on full time staff at Nacogdoches Medical Center, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, and The Surgery Center of Nacogdoches. Her interests outside of urology include: spending time with her husband and three sons, involvement in her church, travel, cooking, and college football.
