Scott Doughty, MD is a family physician, and the start-up inspiration of UP Holistic Medicine, opened in 2014. Dr. Doughty first moved to Marquette in 1992 for training at the MSU/UPHS-affiliated residency. Since then, he has spent 21 of his 31 years as an MD in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. With a significant shift from his allopathically-trained beginnings, Dr. Doughty has followed the questions his patients have brought him and expanded his skills in integrative/functional medicine, learning from top doctors in the field. This has brought him great joy, excitement, and a sense of success in caring for and connecting with patients. He serves as VP of the Board of the International College of Integrative Medicine (ICIM).

Natalie Madland, MD

Natalie Madland, MD recently joined the team at UP Holistic Medicine in the fall of 2022. During her family medicine residency here in Marquette, she came to learn with Dr. Doughty any chance she could, as she saw in this practice the type of medicine that most spoke to her. Originally from Portland, Oregon, in 2019 she moved here to join the Marquette Family Medicine Residency program, and quickly found her “home away from home” here in the UP.
