Kirk Harum, MD

Dr. Kirk Harum is the founding member of Springtide Hormone Replacement Therapy and Crystal Coast Pain Management Center. Realizing that often there is often a correlation between pain and hormone balances, Dr. Harum has dedicated his training to the most up to date hormone replacement therapy methods.

This training has also allowed Dr Harum the opportunity to treat other age-related hormone issues such as low testosterone, menopause symptoms and thyroid. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and has attended extensive training in hormone replacement therapy with the Foundation for Care Management. After graduating from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1987, Dr. Harum completed his residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Serving in the Navy for over nine years, Dr. Harum was awarded the National Defense Service Medal in 1991 and the Navy Commendation Medal in 1995. Dr. Harum attended Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he completed his fellowship training in Anesthesiology/Pain Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Harum served as the Director of the Pain Clinic at Bethesda National Naval Medical Center. He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Spinal Intervention Society, and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia. Dr Harum lives in New Bern, NC with his wife Amy and enjoys travel, boating and tennis.
