She attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville to obtain her bachelors degree in nursing and went on to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock to obtain her Advanced Nurse Practitioner degree. She has experience and is a certified advanced practice nurse in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and medical supervised weight loss.

She has past nursing experience in the operating room, emergency room, cardiac cath lab as well as critical care. Marie is very active and her hobbies include kayaking, hiking, working-out and playing with her two precious dogs.
