Komal Bajaj

Dr. Komal Bajaj brings to Biote extensive experience as a physician-executive, researcher, and healthcare innovator with expertise spanning clinical operations, quality transformation, digital health, diagnostics, and technology-enabled care delivery. She is a clinically active OB/GYN-geneticist.

Prior to joining Biote, Dr. Bajaj served as the inaugural Chief Quality Officer for NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi/North Central Bronx, a two-campus healthcare enterprise serving a catchment area of approximately one million patients. During her tenure, she led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives spanning an operating certificate merger, enterprise electronic health record implementation, care model redesign, and expansion of multiple clinical service lines. She also held leadership roles in patient safety, workforce development, simulation, and waste reduction across the nation’s largest public healthcare system.

Nationally, Dr. Bajaj has served as an advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services through the AHRQ National Advisory Council and was named an inaugural National Academy of Medicine Diagnostic Excellence Scholar. She has also served on The Joint Commission’s Chief Medical Officer/Chief Physician Council and the Clinical Advisory Board for the Society for Women’s Health Research. In addition, Dr. Bajaj is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Bajaj holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Health Professions Education from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions.
