Dr. Salim is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
He earned his Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1997.
He envisions taking care of whole family with integrative and holistic approach to health care.
With that goal, he pursued a residency in Family Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2000.
He has been practicing in the Friendswood, Clear Lake, Webster area for more than 19 years.
He believes in integrating preventive medicine, nutrition and healthy lifestyle to achieve optimal physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual health.
He grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia until he was 13, and attended secondary school and junior college in Singapore.
He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology with highest honors.
He conducted research at MD Anderson Science Park for 2 years before attending medical school.
He is married to Elaine who helps manage his office and is blessed with 2 daughters.
He is a foodie and swims for exercise.
Rachel is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Rachel has been a nurse for over 15 years. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she also received her undergraduate degree. Rachel has a background in Women’s Services, Community Nursing (as a school nurse), Telemetry and the Operating Room. It was during her last two clinical residency rotations with Dr. Salim that she was able to experience first-hand the ideal she had hoped for in health care, patient centered care.
Rachel is passionate about health promotion. She believes each patient should be an active participant in their health care. Nutrition, intentional movement and a healthy mind are cornerstones of her practice and lifestyle. Her favorite activities are boxing, hiking and hot yoga. She enjoys attending or watching sporting events and spending time with her fourteen year old son.
Additionally, Rachel is a college instructor for associate degree nursing students. She began her career after receiving her Associate Degree in Nursing from Alvin Community College in 2004.
