Dr. Dean Earp was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas and completed three-years of specialty training in Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. While at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Earp spearheaded several humanitarian efforts including a medical mission to the Republic of Haiti and received the Mayo International Health Plan Scholarship. Prior to joining North Hills Family Medicine, Dr. Earp spent 5 years in outpatient practice in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Earp is board certified in Family Medicine and has special interests in preventative health, sports medicine, pediatric care, and the treatment and prevention of headache syndromes. Dr. Earp also provided parenting advice on BabyFirstTV, a nationally broadcast cable television program.
Dr. Earp’s pride and joy is his family. He is married and has a young daughter, son and two cats. He is an avid Texas Longhorns fan and attends multiple games each year with his family.
In 2004, he completed his residency training at the Christus Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program in downtown San Antonio. He has been practicing in the Stone Oak area since 2004 and joined North Hills Family Medicine in April of 2007. He integrates his knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, current medical information, and a dependable base of specialty consultants to promote healthy living and prevention of chronic disease.
Dr. Naron speaks Filipino and medical Spanish. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working out, and playing basketball and golf.
Dr. Naron was born in the Philippines in 1976. His family immigrated to Houston, TX when he was 13 years old. He graduated summa cum laude from Alief Elsik High School in 1993. He obtained his premedical education at the University of Texas in Austin, where he graduated with High Honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology.
In 1997, he started medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and has lived in San Antonio since. In medical school, Dr. Naron developed special interests in sports medicine, orthopedics, hypertension, diabetes, and preventive care.
He chose the specialty of Family Medicine with the goals of preventing disease and treating patients from childhood to adulthood. He enjoys developing lasting relationships with his patients and their families.
Stephanie Benton is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a strong background in cardiac-vascular diseases and disorders. As an APRN, Stephanie is licensed by the Texas State Board of Nursing to provide healthcare at an advanced level, seeing patients of all ages. Also board certified in Cardiac Vascular Nursing, Stephanie is passionate about partnering with her patients to help identify and reduce risk factors associated with the development of chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
Stephanie hails from Augusta, Georgia. After graduating from Augusta State University, she became a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in 2001. As one of the top students in her class, Stephanie was chosen to visit ASU’s sister nursing school in Takarazuka, Japan, representing the university as a student ambassador. Upon her return, Stephanie moved to Atlanta, GA, and served as a charge nurse and clinical preceptor for the Coronary Intensive Care Unit in Atlanta’s only Magnet Award Hospital.
In 2003, Stephanie and her husband relocated to San Antonio. Before joining North Hills Family Medicine, she worked in a large cardiology group, serving as a physician extender and clinical research coordinator. Never one to stop learning, Stephanie earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, graduating with highest honors, summa cum laude. It was during these academic pursuits that Stephanie discovered a passion for delivering holistic, comprehensive healthcare…so she followed her heart, which led her to become a Family Nurse Practitioner at North Hills Family Medicine.
