With nearly 30 years in the medical field, Kimberly’s passion has always centered on caring for the whole patient and supporting their loved ones through every stage of healing. She believes in creating individualized treatment plans, educating patients on recovery and preventative care, and providing compassion, understanding, and genuine support throughout the healthcare journey.
As a Registered Nurse, Kimberly’s early career included specialties in critical care, including the cardiovascular ICU, recovery room, and medical ICU. Her dedication to improving patient outcomes extended beyond the bedside as she collaborated with EMS, local fire departments, and hospitals throughout the community to help develop standardized protocols for heart attack and stroke care.
Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of leading and mentoring exceptional nursing teams as a Director of Nursing. In these leadership roles, she helped establish a ventilator unit and implemented in-house blood transfusion services within long-term rehabilitation settings, improving both patient access and continuity of care.
While these accomplishments were deeply rewarding, she realized her true passion is direct patient care, education, prevention, and helping patients achieve lasting wellness. This inspired her to advance her career and become a Nurse Practitioner.
As a Nurse Practitioner, she pursued advanced training in functional medicine because she believes healthcare should focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than simply treating the symptoms. Functional medicine allows her to help patients optimize their health through personalized approaches involving nutrition, gut health, hormone optimization, targeted supplementation, lifestyle modification, and medications when appropriate.
Her goal is to help every patient achieve their own definition of health and feel their absolute best across their lifespan. To further support this mission, she pursued certifications in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and functional medicine.
