Board-certified Edward O’Dell MD, FACOG, is the medical director and co-founder of Genesis Cosmetic Laser Center in Florence, South Carolina. He specializes in cosmetic gynecology and revolutionary LipoSculpting.
Dr. O’Dell earned a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was on the ground floor of using lasers in medicine.
After moving to Florence he was instrumental in helping both hospitals in town purchase their first medical lasers and was the first physician in Florence to use lasers in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries. Dr. O’Dell spearheaded advancements locally as new technology became available.
At Genesis Cosmetic Laser Center, he expands cosmetic laser offerings as new products evolve.
Dr. O’Dell stays up-to-date with the latest medical advances in aesthetics and gynecology. He is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons and the American College of Cosmetic Physicians.
He’s worked with leading cosmetic physicians and surgeons in Miami, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Dallas, and California. Dr. O’Dell teaches liposuction and fat grafting procedures to visiting physicians from all over the country.
For the last several years, he’s become the top injector for Botox® and Juvéderm® products in northeastern South Carolina and continues to expand injectable offerings with Allergan and other top-of-line products and new, innovative techniques.
At Genesis Cosmetic Laser Center, Dr. O’Dell developed an exclusive procedure called Genesis Signature LipoSculpting. It involves combining Vaser lipo, laser lipo, Renuvion plasma (J-Plasma), and a suctioning method called Tickle lipo into one procedure to achieve outstanding results without general anesthesia or extensive downtime.
