Martha Drohobyczer, MSN, APRN, is the primary provider at Alternatives
for Women.
She is both a certified nurse midwife and board certified adult
psychiatric/mental health clinical nurse specialist. Martha has worked in
nursing education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Nursing,
and as Adjunct faculty at Touro University. In addition she has worked in
nursing administration as Director of Nursing for Southern Nevada Adult
Mental Health Services from 1983-1988.
Martha received the First Lady’s Award from the governor’s wife for
providing outstanding health care to women in Southern Nevada. She is a
Board member of Help of Southern Nevada, a member of Nevada Advanced
Practice Nurses Association,
former president of Nevada Nurses Association
District 3 (Southern Nevada), Nevada Black Nurses Association, has served
on several committees of the Nevada State Board of Nursing and has worked
on legislative issues that impact the health of the citizens of Nevada and the
profession of nursing.
Martha has been featured in Nevada Woman
magazine, the Las Vegas Review Journal, health segments of Channel 13
News and The Learning Channel’s Maternity Ward series.
Martha has been married since 1975 and has two adult daughters and a
grandson, Connor.
