Kelli grew up in Bee, Nebraska. She started her nursing career at the age of 16 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In 2003 she got her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Southeast Community College in Lincoln. She worked for 11 years for BryanLGH Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. There, she cared for a diverse patient population including oncology, urology, women’s health, alcohol detoxification, general surgery and inpatient hospice. She graduated in 2004 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In 2011 she completed her graduate education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is Board Certified in Adult Health and Illness. Kelli sees patients ages 13 and older.
Kelli enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children. She loves to travel when they are able, and enjoys watching her children play sports and dance.
Dr. Kyleen Schmoker is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
She grew up in Springfield Nebraska.
She began her career in healthcare at age 19 as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
In 2016, she graduated from Nebraska Methodist College with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
She worked for 4 years in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Nebraska Medicine where she grew to love the fast-paced environment and critical thinking skills it takes to be a CVICU nurse.
Over time, she quickly learned that she has a deep passion for preventative medicine.
Helping patients improve their quality of life and prevent them from ending up in the ICU due to chronic disease became her ultimate goal.
In 2021, Dr. Schmoker graduated from Nebraska Methodist College with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and is Nationally Board Certified in Family Practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
During graduate school, one of her preceptors specialized in functional medicine.
From him, she gained skills and knowledge that she will use to help patients determine how and why illness occurs. She will use this experience to help teach her patients ways to restore health by addressing the root causes of disease for each individual.
Dr. Schmoker enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons (has another on the way), friends, and family.
In her free time, she participates in church activities, she enjoys watching their oldest son play sports, trying new things, and loves going on date nights with her husband.
