Kiana Long, DO was born and raised in Oakland, California and is a proud graduate of HBCU Prairie View A&M University. She migrated to the midwest for medical school and after completing medical school at Kansas City University School of Osteopathic Medicine she completed residency with the University of Missouri Kansas City Family Medicine Residency program. Desiring to find a balance between raising her children and being a medical provider she chose to pursue independent contracting through rural emergency medicine for over 10 years.
In addition to emergency medicine, Dr. Long was a part of implementing the medical home initiative through the state of Missouri at Swope Health Center and has served as a volunteer and medical director for City Union Mission.
During her many years as an emergency provider and with her background in family medicine Dr. Long began to seek out ways to help get in front of the issues that brought many of her patients to her in the ER. Subsequently she began to explore more functional medicine and integrative medicine modalities. This desire to help people speaking wellness not treatment for illness alone lead her to launch Golden Health and Wellness in 2019.
Since 2019 Dr. Long has continued to grow and learn and add new procedures and treatments to help her patients achieve and maintain health. She currently offers multiple services to help patients reach their own health goals including being a BioXStem and BioTE provider.
Dr. Long is a loving wife to William Brown and her five children. She resides and practices in the Lees Summit, MO area.
