Dr. Jay Marque is a native of New Roads, Louisiana where he graduated valedictorian from Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee in 1990.
He graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1994 with a B.S. in Biology and returned to Louisiana for medical school where he received his MD from LSU-New Orleans in 1998.
He then completed a 4 year residency in Emergency Medicine and has been board certified in emergency medicine for over 20 years.
Dr. Marque finished his United States Air Force career in 2011 as a Lieutenant Colonel where he served as an emergency physician and flight surgeon.
He is a decorated veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and he served overseas in Germany from 2003-2006.
Dr. Marque returned to Louisiana in 2011 and opened Lake Charles Urgent Care on Country Club Road, a second location on Ryan Street in 20014, and Family Physicians Urgent Care in Sulphur in 2016.
Dr. Marque lives in Lake Charles with his wife Candace and has 2 sons attending college.
Joey has 25 years’ medical experience starting his career as an EMT/Paramedic. He graduated in 2003 from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He worked as an RN until graduating from McNeese State University in 2014 with a Master of Science in Nursing. Joey has been practicing in the Emergency Room and LCUC for most of his career the last 8 years.
Lauren Hay is our lead nurse practitioner at Lake Charles Urgent Care. She has practiced as a nurse for 23 years and a nurse practitioner for 15 years. A native of Bunkie Louisiana she has called Lake Charles her home for the last 15 years. Her past experience includes ICU, ER and Women’s Health. Lauren enjoys taking part in the many cultural, food and musical festivals in southeast Louisiana with her husband and three daughters in her free time.
