My name is Reena Sharma, and I am a highly qualified Family Nurse Practitioner with board certification. I have achieved expertise in various areas, including Ultrasound guided PICC and Midline insertion. Additionally, I hold certifications as a Geriatric Resource Nurse and Certified Aesthetic Injector. My nursing certifications are recognized in three different states: New York, California, and Indiana. Recently, I relocated from New York to Indiana in 2021.
My nursing journey began at Nassau Community College, where I gained valuable experience. I then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain School of Nursing. With great determination, I achieved a 4.0 GPA and graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Long Island University’s post campus. Throughout my nursing education, I was honored to receive several scholarships, including the prestigious Dr. Ruth Anderson Scholarship, Roslyn Visiting Nurse Association Mary Bannister Memorial Scholarship, and Halyn Johnston Memorial Scholarship. I was also awarded the Nassau County Awards Part-time Scholarship.
Furthermore, I have consistently demonstrated exceptional academic performance, earning a place on the Dean’s List for multiple semesters, including fall 2015, fall 2016, fall 2017, and spring, summer, and fall 2018. To recognize my outstanding achievements, I was bestowed with the President’s Honors Award for my BSN in 2018.
In addition to my academic accomplishments, I am an active member of The Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State and the esteemed Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I am proud to be fluent in three different languages: English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
Currently, I practice in Greenwood, Indiana, in a primary care setting as a dedicated family nurse practitioner.
