Betsy Horton, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Alpha Internal Medicine in Fayetteville, Georgia. Dr. Horton grew up in Fayetteville and has been providing patient-centered medical care with a focus on wellness and prevention since 1998. Dr. Horton is an MDVIP provider at Alpha Internal Medicine and only sees patients eligible for this program, which allows her to provide more personalized, one-on-one care for her patients for a better overall health care experience. Dr. Horton graduated from Mercer University of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, and then completed her internship and residency at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta. When she’s not providing excellent care to her patient’s, Dr. Horton is sharing her love of medicine with the next generation of physicians at the Department of Community Medicine at Mercer University of Medicine. Dr. Horton also sponsors the free Fayette Care Clinic, where she also volunteers her time to better serve her community.
Melinda Chavis is a Certified Nurse Practitioner. She is a 1991 Graduate of the University of South Carolina where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Nursing. She obtained her Masters’ degree in Nursing in 2012 from Georgia State University. Her interests include gardening, Dachshund rescue, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Melinda enjoys educating her patients and empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare.
