Dr. Amy Coopersmith is a doctorate-prepared, board-certified family nurse practitioner. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field to Amethyst Wellness in Palm Coast, Florida, where she serves as lead practitioner and specializes in preventive medicine and aesthetics.
After completing her undergraduate degree in nursing from Georgetown University in 1995, Coopersmith completed a master of science degree in nursing from the University of San Diego in 2002. In 2012, she received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida.
Dr. Coopersmith served in the United States Army Nurse Corps for more than 10 years and achieved the rank of major. Before launching Amethyst Wellness, she spent 8 years servings as a primary care nurse practitioner at the Department of Health Flagler County.
Jerry Coopersmith is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
He first obtained his associate””s degree in Physiological Psychology from Mesa College in San Diego, California. He then continued his career in healing as an Officer in the United States Army Nurse Corps. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. He then went on to obtain a Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner from the University of San Diego. He was a National Health Service Corps Scholar and worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Uniformed Officer for the United States Public Health Service Corps. He then went on to work for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and eventually became the managing Nurse Practitioner for Home Based Primary Care.
A Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, he also owns Flagler Hypnotherapy and specializes in men””s health and wellness.
She began her career as a Registered nurse with over 10 years of experience in specialties such as Psychiatry, Gastroenterology, Allergy, and Family Medicine. She then obtained her Master of Science in Nursing and graduated with honors from the University of South Alabama in 2016.
She received her training/preceptorship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.
Shortly after, she worked at Baptist Medical Jax specializing in Endocrinology with a focus in diabetes, thyroid management, hormone disorders, & nutrition, and weight management.
