Michelle graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Marquette University in 2007 after completing her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences. Upon graduation, she moved to Colorado and has gained valuable experience working as a Primary Care Provider in the Denver area and loves all that this beautiful state has to offer. She thoroughly enjoys the medical specialty of Family Practice and its concern for the total health of the individual as well as the family. She loves getting to know her patients and their family and watching them grow through the years.
As a Midlevel Provider she sees patients for acute care, physicals, as well as chronic disease management. Within this area, Michelle has developed specific interests in health maintenance by helping patients form an interest in their own health through the use of preventative screenings and encouragement of a vigorous, healthy and well-balanced lifestyle and nutrition. Her professional interests include pediatrics, women’s health, and sports medicine, and she is able to see all ages we see here at Lone Tree Family Practice.
Outside of work you may see Michelle out running, on her bike, or an area hiking trail. She also enjoys participating in Triathlons and has a fond enjoyment of travel.
A native of Colorado, Monica moved to northern Wisconsin where she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin education system in Eau Claire, WI.
In 2006, Monica moved to Iowa City to earn her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Iowa and has been practicing as a Certified Physician Assistant in Colorado since August 2008.
Since beginning her practice, Monica dedicated her first 5 years of practice to serving the under and un-insured population of the Denver Metro area with Metro Community Provider Network (MCPN).
In early 2009, while still with MCPN, Monica partnered with Dr. Jose Castillo-Mancilla, MD of the University of Colorado to staff the MCPN HIV clinic and has since developed a deep interest and dedication for caring for those living with HIV and AIDS as well as addressing the primary prevention of HIV.
She then joined Lone Tree Family Practice in late 2013 to expand her practice and experience, be closer to home, and free up some of her time to spend with family and friends.
Monica’s professional skills and interests include the management and prevention of HIV/AIDS (including HAART and PrEP prescription); and she is skilled and trained in performing basic office procedures including the placement of IUDs and general dermatologic procedures.
She has also been through specialized hormone evaluation and replacement training for both males and females.
Her professional interests and priorities include preventive and proactive health care, nutrition, diet and exercise counseling, and educating patients on how to best care for themselves to live a more healthy and well-balanced and active lifestyle.
An avid runner, weekend yogi, suburban gardener, budding snowboarder and evening “chef” – she lives locally in Highlands Ranch with her husband, Bryan and small dog, Mocha.
She considers Colorado her true and forever home and in her spare time can be found enjoying the beauty of nature, reading a good book, sipping a cup of coffee or enjoying the occasional glass of wine or local craft microbrew beer.
Dr. Marshall grew up in the Littleton area and completed her undergraduate degrees in physiology and environmental biology at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
During this time she was also an F-16 avionics technician in the Colorado Air National Guard.
After spending 6 years in the guard her medical training took her to Pennsylvania where she studied at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Marshall returned to Fort Collins, Colorado to complete her residency in family medicine where she served as chief resident.
She is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Colorado Medical Society. Dr. Marshall enjoys the full scope of practice that family practice has to offer
from babies to geriatrics and everyone in between.
She has an interest in sports medicine and musculoskeletal problems as she continues to use the manipulation training that was taught in medical school.
Women’s health is another area of focus and she is trained and certified to insert IUD’s and Nexplanon. In her spare time you can find Dr. Marshall outside hiking, biking, snowboarding, and paddle boarding.
She also enjoys adding stamps to her passport and finding new breweries to sample microbrews.
Dr. Linares has been in practice in the Denver area since 2000. She completed medical school at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. followed by a family medicine residency program affiliated with Mount Sinai Medical School in New York City. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has been an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians since 1997. She is the Chief of Family Medicine at Sky Ridge Medical Center.
Dr. Linares is on the Board of Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert County Medical Society and is active in promoting primary care and the patient centered medical home concept. Dr. Linares loves spending time being active and traveling with her three beautiful girls. She has been a Girl Scout Leader for the past five years.
She enjoys hiking in the mountains, skiing and sitting on her patio with a good glass of red wine.
Catherine has been a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 1999. She has been a nurse since 1980. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Northern Colorado and her Masters of Science for Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
As a nurse, Catherine worked in Neonatal Intensive Care and helped develop and implement a program for an outpatient program for medically fragile children. Catherine has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine and Family Practice. Her love is Family Practice as she can care for the whole family including generations. Catherine takes a wholistic approach to providing care for her patients. She believes the importance of recognizing the physical, emotional, spiritual and social dynamics of the individual to provide the best care for her patients. She works in collaboration to help empower her patients for optimal outcomes. Her areas of expertise include women’s health, pediatric, adolescent medicine as well as encompassing wellness and disease prevention.
Catherine has 2 adult children and two very lovely grand daughters. She enjoys spending time with her growing family. Other interests include snow shoeing, bike riding and gardening. Catherine enjoys trying new recipes as well as reading .
Michelle has been practicing medicine as a Physician Assistant for the past 24 years. She has worked in a variety of medical practice settings including family practice, pediatrics, newborn nursery, and internal medicine.
“I chose my career path as a Physician Assistant so that I could help make a difference in people’s lives by providing medical care in addition to promoting health and wellness through preventative education.”
Her areas of expertise include women’s health, hormone replacement for perimenopause/menopause, cosmetic botox, mental health, pediatric and adolescent medicine, alongside wellness and disease prevention.
Michelle received a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University and graduated from the University of Colorado Physician Assistant program. She is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Colorado Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA).
One of her major goals is to help prioritize the longterm health of each patient through education on how to eat a healthy diet, get regular exercise, manage stress, and have quality sleep. Speaking on her approach to long term health: “I always encourage patients to do this as it can prevent a myriad of health problems in their future, leading to improved quality of life and longevity.”
Michelle grew up in the beautiful state of Colorado. She has been married to her husband for 25 years and raised their three children in Highlands Ranch. She enjoys the outdoors and traveling with her family, along with running, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, camping, and the fine arts .
Lance Jackson is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner that specializes in the holistic care of the whole family, from infancy to elderly. He can assess, diagnose, and treat most conditions that present to the clinic. He is licensed in Colorado and board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Lance earned his undergraduate degree from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX and went on to obtain his master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. He has cared for orthopedic, cardiology, acute and intensive care patients in hospitals, clinics, and private practice.
In his free time, he enjoys cycling, snowboarding, reading, and spending time with his Berne doodle, Enzo.
Tyler Nielsen is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is passionate about preventative care, and the importance of establishing a trusting collaborative relationship with his patients and delivering high quality care personalized for each individual patient. He is dedicated in building long-lasting and trusting relationship with all of his patients. He believes every patient deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Tyler is originally from a small town in Northwest Iowa. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He followed this by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa and went to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing graduating top of his class at Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa.
Tyler’s past experience in nursing includes mental health, internal medicine, family practice, HIV prevention, and hormone therapy. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations with his two Australian Shepherds, Bailey and Harper. He recently moved to the area from Iowa and is looking forward to exploring the outdoors with them here in Colorado.
