Prema Jacob, MD

Prema M. Jacob M.D., FAAFP, is board certified Family Physician.

She has been in practice in Colorado for over 10years and was voted #1 Physician in a survey by the Loveland Reporter Herald in 2006.

She was also nominated “Best Doctor” in a Group Publishing survey in 2012.

While hormone imbalance is a frequent clinical issue in my practice,

I have had reservations about synthetic hormone replacement therapy due to real risk of adverse events.

BioTE Medical is a system of plant based, bio-identical pellet therapy that replenishes depleted hormone levels back to the most optimal balanced state for women and men.

The term “bio identical” means an exact molecular match of the human hormone. BioTE hormone pellets are derived from natural plant sources (wild yam and soy) to replicate the body’s biological hormones, replace deficiencies and optimize to the levels appropriate for your body. These pellets are placed under the skin and slowly dissolve allowing for a constant release of small, physiologic doses providing optimal therapy 24/7.

Unlike typical oral and transdermal forms of therapy (which produce “roller coaster” hormone levels, resulting in mood and energy fluctuations for the patient) BioTE Medical Hormone Pellet Therapy provides sustained hormone levels throughout the day, for up to 3-6 months, without varying levels in the body.

Having treated hormone deficiency states for several decades, I believe that Bio-Te Hormone Therapy is a major breakthrough, using natural, plant based molecules and am excited to have this available at Miramont family Medicine at the Snow mesa office.

I recommend that you come for a consultation for further details to see how BioTe can work for you.
