Dr. Mel Kurtulus completed his training in Medicine at the University Of Illinois School Of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. During his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the Southern Illinois University Hospitals, he became interested in laparoscopic surgery and attended a training program at the Advanced Laparoscopy Center, Stanford University. Dr. Kurtulus also completed a training program in Da Vinci Robotic Surgery and has been providing his patients with this minimally invasive surgical option.
Dr. Kurtulus has been selected to be one of the only 23 surgeons in the country and the only surgeon in San Diego to be an EPICENTER Surgeon, qualifying him to be the master surgeon, teaching other surgeons how to perform robotic surgery.
Dr. Kurtulus is the medical director of San Diego Women’s Health.

With a broad skill set, Cassandra offers full-spectrum gynecologic care, including well-woman exams, infection checks, preconception and family planning counseling, IUD and Nexplanon placements, as well as the management of abnormal bleeding and pelvic pain.

Originally from Reno, Nevada, Brooke earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She went on to complete her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of the Pacific in Sacramento, graduating Magna Cum Laude at the top of her class.
Passionate about women’s health, Brooke is dedicated to helping women improve their quality of life and feel their absolute best. She believes in giving women a stronger voice in healthcare.

Dr. Mullin is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist with 18 years of experience who provides personalized, evidence-based care for her patients. Her professional and personal experiences allow her to provide empathic and compassionate care. She provides holistic perinatal care for both low and high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Mullin is menopause society certified and enthusiastic about empowering women through their peri and postmenopausal journey.

She excels in minimally invasive surgery techniques that lead to a faster recovery, less pain and improved outcomes for her patients. She is committed to staying at the forefront of surgical innovation and helping her patient’s navigate complex conditions including uterine fibroids, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain and ovarian cysts.
Dr. Mullin received her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. Her internship and residency training were at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Mullin has had the opportunity to practice internationally in developed and developing countries. These unique experiences have allowed her to become a versatile provider.
Outside of work Dr. Mullin enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and her dog. She enjoys traveling, skiing and practicing yoga.

Quyen Kelly, MD

Dr. Quyen Kelly is an OB/GYN who is passionate about providing evidence-based care for women throughout every stage of life. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA and graduated medical school with honors before moving to New York for her residency training. There, she served as Chief Resident and was honored with the “Chief of the Year” award. She also received the Excellence in Medical Student Teaching award and the Excellence in Urogynecology award from the American Urogynecologic Society.
Dr. Kelly is certified in robotic-assisted and laparoscopic surgery, offering a minimally invasive approach to gynecologic care, including treatment for fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and abnormal uterine bleeding. She is especially dedicated to personalized obstetric care—prioritizing vaginal birth when safely possible and supporting patients in achieving positive, empowering birth experiences.
During her residency training, Dr. Kelly had two children of her own, giving her firsthand insight into the joys and challenges of pregnancy and childbirth. That experience has shaped her approach: empathetic, thorough, and always centered around the needs and preferences of each patient.
Dr. Kelly is fluent in English and Vietnamese, conversational in Spanish, and enjoys connecting with patients from all backgrounds. Outside of work, she’s a devoted wife and mom who loves spending time with her husband, toddler, and newborn—whether playing tennis, volleyball, or pickleball, exploring new restaurants, relaxing at the beach, or enjoying quiet moments at home.
