Erica Strandberg, DO

Dr. Erica Beal is a board certified Family Physician who grew up in Littleton, Colorado. She received her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, OK, where she enjoyed the opportunity to focus on rural medicine, including rural health policy development. She also completed her Family Medicine Residency in Tulsa, where she enjoyed serving both rural and urban populations. Her husband, a former resident and ranch hand in Lander, introduced her to the community before they were married, and she quickly fell in love with all that Lander has to offer. After spending several years in Oklahoma, she and her husband were eager for the opportunity to raise their family in beautiful Fremont County.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Beal enjoys caring for families from newborns to geriatric populations. She has special interests in preventative medicine, functional medicine, and women’s health. Dr. Beal values spending time with her patients and listening to their social history in addition to medical history so that she can address genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that influence long-term health.

Dr. Beal enjoys pending time exploring the outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, or horseback riding. She can often be found gardening or caring for her house plants and enjoys staying active with running, swimming, and yoga.

Tras Pfeifer, PA-C

Tras Pfeifer, PA-C, was born and raised in the modest Ozark town of Havana, Arkansas. He was raised on a small farm in the shadow of Mount Magazine, where he helped his family foster beef cattle and various row crops during his formative years. After graduating with his fellow twenty-five classmates at Western Yell County High School, he attended Arkansas Tech University and studied Kinesiology and Business. After graduating in 2017, he moved to Billings, Montana, and attended Rocky Mountain College until graduating in mid-2021. Before becoming a PA, Tras held various roles within the healthcare world, including medical assistant, home health aide, and CNA. He has begun working on a doctoral degree in medical science at Rocky Mountain College as of January of 2022.

Tras likes working and living in a small town because of the intimate relationships he can establish and maintain with his patients and community. He has lived in Lander since November of 2021 and enjoys life with his girlfriend, Santana, their fat cat, Marvin, and their deaf dog, Clementine. Together, they all enjoy traveling, hiking, skiing, camping, fishing, and exploring Lander Valley and all it has to offer.
