Dr. Miller was born in Charleston, West Virginia.
He graduated from Poca High School in Poca, West Virginia.
He attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina in 1981.
There he was on the varsity football team from 1981 through 1982.
He graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1986.
He then attended the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia and graduated in 1990.
Upon his graduation, he completed an internship at Logan General Hospital from 1990-1991 where he served as Chief Intern.
In 1991, he then entered a Family Medicine Residency at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
In 1991 and 1992, Dr. Miller was employed as a staff physician in the Emergency Departments of Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Weston, West Virginia and at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
From 1992 through 1995, he was employed as a staff physician in the Emergency Department of Fairmont General Hospital in Fairmont, West Virginia.
From 1995 through 1999, Dr. Miller was employed as a staff physician in the Emergency Department of Logan General Hospital (now Logan Regional Medical Center), a level III trauma center.
From 1999 through 2000, he served as Medical Director in the Emergency Department of Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center in Sevierville, Tennessee.
In 2001, he held a temporary position as the Medical Director in the Emergency Department of Man Community Hospital.
From 2001 to 2003, Dr. Miller was the Medical Director in the Emergency Department of the Logan Regional Medical Center.
From 2003 to 2006, Dr. Miller has served as a staff physician in the Emergency Department at Logan Regional Medical Center.
In October, 2005, Dr. Miller started his practice, Healthy Habits Wellness Center.
