Dr. Childress brings 20 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner to her practice as a primary care provider, and is grateful to have the opportunity to serve her community through her work at The Manette Clinic. She graduated from the University of Washington and remains dually-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
In addition to her clinical work, Kristen is an Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Washington where she contributes her leadership and expertise to growing the next generation of Nurse Practitioners. She remains professionally active on workgroups and boards locally and nationally that impact healthcare professionals’ ability to provide high-quality care and is a frequent speaker at educational events.
Kristen has a passion for providing excellent care to her patients with a special focus on quality of life and supporting each individual’s ability to live life in a way that aligns with what’s most important to them. Dissatisfaction with typical medical options and a recognition that too many people have symptoms that aren’t being addressed because of inadequate support from the healthcare profession started her on the path to evaluating interventions that could improve her patients’ quality of life, ultimately leading her to become a Biote provider.
She is excited to offer hormone optimization and Biote as part of her practice so she can make even more of a positive impact on the lives of her patients through her work.
