Dr. Sage Wheeler is a highly experienced naturopathic doctor, as well as the owner and director
of SageMED. Since graduating from Bastyr University in 2009, Dr. Wheeler has been providing
compassionate high-quality care to patients in the greater Seattle area.
Combining the science of sound medical knowledge with the creative thinking that embodies the
art of medicine, Dr. Wheeler strives to integrate all forms of medicine using a holistic approach

Dr. Deichert received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. After two
years in residency, Dr. Deichert chose to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing at Seattle
University, allowing him to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. His unique education
background allows Dr. Deichert to blend naturopathic and western medicine to provide a truly
integrative approach to patient care.
Dr. Deichert’s practice is founded on the idea that working with patients throughout their life is a
privilege, and the most effective therapies are created by adjusting treatments to meet each
individual’s needs, desires, and beliefs.
Welcoming patients of all ages and states of health, Dr. Deichert specializes in genomic
medicine, chronic disease, and hormone optimization using bioidentical hormone replacement
therapy.
Dr. Miller has just under 20 years of experience providing primary care services patients of all
ages in the Puget Sound area. As a primary care physician, she works to educate her patients
on preventative health practices and establishes treatment plans to help patients navigate their
immediate and long term needs.

Panel/Healthcare Professional Advisory Committee, Dr. Miller is dedicated to staying engaged

Dr. Tiffany Althaus is an experienced Naturopathic physician who is passionate about educating
and empowering her patients to take an active approach to their own health, with the goal of
living a dynamic and optimally healthy life.
Dr. Althaus is an advocate for her patients’ health and addresses the root cause of disease
while managing symptoms along the way. She practices evidence-based medicine with an
integrative, collaborative, and personalized approach, blending conventional medicine
diagnostics with natural medicine philosophies.
Dr. Althaus specializes in treating gastrointestinal conditions, autoimmune diseases, and female
hormone optimization.
Dr. Ashok Bhandari is a Naturopathic Doctor with a background in professional athletic
conditioning. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Bhandari has completed extensive training in
nutrition and nutraceuticals, physical medicine, sports medicine, exercise physiology, and
bioidentical hormone replacement therapies.

Dr. Maiko Ochi is a Naturopathic Doctor dedicated to understanding and treating the underlying

Dr. Ochi graduated from Bastyr University in 2009 with both a Doctorate of Naturopathic
Medicine and a Master of Science in Acupuncture. During her time at Bastyr, she received
additional clinical training in gynecology, diabetes and cardiovascular health, and pain
management.
Dr. Ochi believes in treating people, not diseases. Her areas of specialty include women’s

Dr. Steven LaBrecque is a Naturopathic Doctor and Functional Medicine Practitioner, with a

Dr. Jené Ferrante is a Naturopathic Doctor with a passion for holistic patient care.

Dr. Mickey Brawner is a Naturopathic physician and first-year resident at SageMED through the
Institute of Natural Medicine (INM) Residency Program.
Dr. Brawner earned his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2022
where he specialized in regenerative and sports medicine. As the international president of
Naturopathic Medical Student Association (NMSA), he keeps up-to-date with a wide network of
naturopathic doctors in the community.
Dr. Brawner addresses his patient’s diet and lifestyle, focusing his efforts on educating them to
make informed decisions about their health journey moving forward. He specializes in primary
care, male reproductive health, and hormone replacement therapy.
Dr. Kiran Bhandari is an experienced physician with a passion for providing comprehensive
primary care.
Dr. Bhandari was the chief resident in her residency program in Michigan, and moved to Seattle
to practice medicine after completing her residency. She is board certified by the American
Board of Family Medicine, highlighting her dedication to providing exceptional care to each and
every one of her patients.
In clinical practice, Dr. Bhandari focuses on identifying the root cause of ailments in order to
treat patients’ health as a whole rather than a collection of symptoms. Her areas of specialty
include primary care, esthetics, and hormone management and optimization
