Dr. Denton D. Weiss was born and raised in the heartland. After attending the University of Iowa, he was accepted a year early to medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. As a Naval medical officer, his internship in surgery and residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery took him to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He completed his Plastic and Reconstructive residency at Brigham Woman’s Hospital / Children’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.
Dr. Weiss has been a plastic surgeon in Hampton Roads since 1998. His dream has always been to create an environment where patients come and find peace. In 2008 he opened the Virginia Beach Surgery Center where he brings his philosophy of beautiful living into his medical practice. Amy originally came to the Tidewater area in 1992 as a Navy Nurse Corps Officer. After moving away several times, she made Virginia Beach her permanent home in 2005. A graduate of the University of Arizona with her BSN, Amy has over 25 years experience in critical care, ER, pain management and perioperative services. She is the mom of 18 year old twins, loves paddleboarding, fitness, and shopping for shoes!
