Alexa Pascioni, MD

Alexa Pascioni, MD was born and raised in Miami, FL. She was inspired to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology by her own first appointment, appreciating the comfortable environment her doctor created for all women to seek care. After graduating high school, Dr. Pascioni attended Florida State University in the honors program where she received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. She continued her education at Florida State University College of Medicine graduating with her medical degree in 2015, where she was awarded the Myra Hunt Award for Excellence in Medicine and served as the president of the American Medical Women’s Association. Her last two years of medical school were completed in Pensacola, FL which remains one of her favorite places to visit.

Dr. Pascioni completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2019 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. While in residency, she served as administrative chief resident and completed training in robotic gynecologic surgery. Dr. Pascioni then joined the Group for Women to pursue her career as a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Pascioni has a great appreciation for all aspects of women’s care for patients of all ages and walks of life. She has special interests in adolescent gynecology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, postmenopausal care, and shared decision making with her patients. Dr. Pascioni is trained to perform DaVinci robotic assisted surgery, offering her patients state of the art minimally invasive surgical options. One of Dr. Pascioni’s favorite aspects of women’s care is pregnancy management. She is passionate about helping every woman achieve a healthy pregnancy and delivery, taking great care to consider each patient’s personal goals. She also has a special interest in fitness and nutrition during and after pregnancy and has experienced the benefits firsthand.

Allyson Bailey, PA-C

Allyson Bailey, PA-C, grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Roanoke, VA. She attended Virginia Tech, achieving her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise with honors. After graduation, she moved to Richmond, VA, and worked as a certified nursing assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center on the acute care surgical unit. She then attended South University and was awarded a Master’s in Physician Assistant studies. After graduation, she moved to Virginia Beach and worked in family medicine. During this time, she realized her passion for women’s health and treating the patient as a whole instead of treating problems.

Her clinical interests include birth control counseling and supporting patients’ mental health through big life events. She enjoys utilizing her prior experience and degree in nutrition and exercise to help patients be active participants in their health goals and outcomes. Allyson is a board-certified Physician Assistant and a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), as well as the Virginia Academy of Physician Associates (VAPA).

Melissa Waddell, WHNP

Melissa Waddell, WHNP grew up in the Tidewater area. Currently she resides in Chesapeake with her husband and three children. She was awarded a Masters of Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing in 2003. Melissa also achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002 and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech in 1998.

Melissa has extensive experience in caring for the healthcare needs of women of all ages. She has worked in women’s health for over 18 years. She has training and certification to perform many gynecologic procedures such as colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, IUD insertion/removal and Nexplanon insertion/removal. Prior to her career as a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse on the Women’s Unit at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems in downtown Richmond, VA. She cared for postoperative women, postpartum women and infants in the nursery, and pregnant women admitted to the hospital for extended care. She also served as a clinical instructor-adjunct faculty member through VCU’s School of Nursing, where she taught students the necessary skills to care for patients. Melissa has served in many professional organizations such as the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honors Society, and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.

Melissa is a Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner through the National Certification Corporation.

Kimberly Stockmaster, MD

Dr. Kimberly Stockmaster, MD is originally from Ohio. She attended college at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio earning a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences. She then attended medical school at Wright State University School of Medicine where she graduated first in her class. She completed internship and residency at Case Western Reserve University at MetroHealth Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland where she received the award for resident achievement in minimally invasive surgery. She decided to specialize in OB/GYN because of the diversity within the field. Her favorite part of the job is helping women through different transitions in their lives and, of course, delivering babies.

Helene Newman, PA-C

Helene Newman, PA-C is a lifelong resident of Tidewater. Currently she resides in Chesapeake with her husband and two young children. She was awarded a Masters of Physician Assistant from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2006. Helene also achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Old Dominion University in 2001.

Helene has extensive experience in caring for the healthcare needs of women of all ages. She has worked in women’s health for over 8 years. She has training or certification to perform many gynecologic procedures such as colposcopy and endometrial biopsy. Helene also has experience in urgent care and family medicine. Prior to her career as a Physician Assistant, she worked as a Patient Advocate at Virginia Beach General Emergency Department and volunteered for the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Helene is a member of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants and is a Certified Physician Assistant.
