Tumu Asuao, known by many as “Dr. T”, is a Nurse Practitioner at Vita Wellness. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Nursing from Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University, respectively. He earned his Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Utah and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Inspired by seeing many of his Polynesian people suffer from chronic diseases, Dr. T has dedicated himself to changing the health outcome narrative and achieving optimal wellness through focusing on preventative health as well as specializing in services that offer a non-conventional approach to inflammation resolution, pain relief, immunity boosting, weight loss and hormone wellness. Dr. T has worked as a healthcare provider for nearly 20 years and has extensive experience in mental health, primary and acute care, home health and hospice, and wound care. His dedication to his patients is unwavering, and he strives to provide the best individualized healthcare plans for them and ensure that they feel seen and heard. Outside of work, Dr. T enjoys coaching and training, spending time with his family, Polynesian drumming, and learning how to cook or repair things from YouTube videos.
