Tyler’s own Hope Short, MD, specializes in family medicine in protecting what’s most important to you. She has been voted Bscene””s Magazine Best of 2012 for Tyler, and has received their awards for five years running.

Dr. Short is a native of Tyler, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School before attending Texas Christian University for her bachelor’s and UT Tyler for her master’s degree. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996.

Dr. Short then completed her residency in family practice at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth. Dr. Short has been practicing in Tyler for 12 years and has a private practice where she handles everything from complete physicals to childcare, colposcopies, pap smears and minor skin procedures. She is a member of the Texas and American Medical Associations, the Smith County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Active in the community, Dr. Short is a member of Marvin United Methodist Church and has been involved with the Cattle Barons’ Gala, the Junior League of Tyler, the Symphony League and the Smith County Republican Party. Dr. Short serves on the ETMC Cancer Committee, and enjoys tennis, running, snow skiing and scuba diving.

Geri Ann Spelbring, FNP-C

In 1985, Geri Ann earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Millikin University in Decatur, IL, and became an RN, fulfilling a desire to enter nursing. Upon learning of the opportunities for advanced practice nursing, she set a goal of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Over the next 25 years, Geri Ann gained a variety of hospital experience as an RN, including cardiac care, newborn nursery, and mother-baby care, in addition to honing primary care skills as a camp nurse. Geri Ann then earned a master’s degree from UT-Tyler, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner and accomplishing her long-held dream.
Geri Ann is particularly interested in how inner strength and problem solving affect patient well-being. She and her husband have 4 grown children. She enjoys working with young children, singing, and quilting. She has been involved with Relay for Life and the American Parkinson’s Optimism Walks in Tyler, as well as volunteering her nursing skills in Red Cross shelters during hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Molly Ramirez, FNP-C

Molly is a Tyler native that is so excited to join the Oak Hills team and serve those in the city she loves. She graduated with her BSN-RN from University of Texas at Tyler in 2013. After working as a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum nurse for 4-5 years, she returned to U T Tyler and graduated at the top of her class with her master’s degree becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of AANP, ETNP and Texas Nurses Association.
Molly enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, outdoor adventures, and breaking a good sweat. Her most fun days are spent being a wife and mom to 4 young children. She loves empowering others to take charge of their health (their own and their family’s) to help them live their best lives. Her life motto is to never stop growing!

Jordan January, FNP-C

Jordan is a dedicated healthcare professional native to East Texas. She graduated from UT Tyler with her BS in 2014. As an RN, she has experience in various healthcare settings including intensive care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, pediatrics and the NICU. Jordan’s passion for providing comprehensive care led her to pursue her MSN degree at UT Tyler and become a Nurse Practitioner.
When not caring for patients, Jordan cherishes quality time with her husband and three young children.
Jordan looks forward to making a positive impact one patient at a time, empowering them to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
