C Funsho Fagbohun, MD, PhD, FACOG, FACS, is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been in practice in Fort Bend County since 2000. He is proud to provide healthcare services to the women of Sugar Land and Richmond, Texas, at the Center for Women’s Health.
Dr. Fagbohun completed his MD degree and was an assistant professor in Nigeria before moving to the United States on a full scholarship to pursue a PhD degree at Marquette University in Wisconsin. He completed his residency training at St. Joseph hospital in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Fagbohun is a multiple award-winning specialist who provides exceptional Obstetrics, Gynecology, and minimally invasive surgery care in an atmosphere of complete trust and confidence. He has won numerous awards including being named “Resident educator of the year” and “Outstanding Chief Resident” during his training. Dr. Fagbohun was voted one of America’s top Obstetricians and Gynecologist by the Consumers’ Research Council of America as a specialist in practice. Dr. Fagbohun is also a BioTE® certified provider, providing patients with excellent bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and guidance.
Dr. Fagbohun was an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Michigan State College of Human Medicine. He is a former Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Medical Director of the Women’s Services, he is also a former Chief of Staff, and currently serves as a member of the Medical Executive Committee at OakBend Medical Center. He is proficient in obstetrics, comprehensive gynecology, and minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy. Dr. Fagbohun is trained in Aesthetic Medicine. He is an avid teacher with numerous published articles in scientific journals. Dr. Fagbohun is an active member and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He is one of the few obstetricians and gynecologists in the nation elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Fagbohun is blessed with five wonderful grown daughters and one grown son and resides in Fort Bend County with his wife, Yolanda. He is a member of the Richmond Rotary Club where he is active in the community. He has led medical mission trips to Africa. His interests include travel, spending time with his family, and mentoring middle, high school and college students who are interested in the medical career. He is also a venture capitalist and entrepreneur. Dr. Fagbohun is engaging, and his immediate familiarity with his patients is flattering and comforting.

Chunhua Lu, MD, PhD, brings a wealth of expertise to the Center for Women’s Health. She is honored and excited to assist all women of all ages in Sugar Land and Richmond, Texas, to enhance their health and wellness.
Dr. Lu began her educational journey at the Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing, China, where she earned both MD and Ph.D. degrees. She then completed Ob/Gyn residency training and worked as an attending physician at the third hospital of Peking University. Dr. Lu then moved to Houston to pursue her postdoctoral research fellowship training, initially at the breast cancer center at Baylor College of Medicine and subsequently at the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center. After this Dr. Lu decided to go back to her first love, which was direct patient care, specializing in women’s health. Dr. Lu completed Ob/Gyn residency training at the McGovern Medical School in Houston and Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York. Dr. Lu enjoys combining both her clinical expertise and in-depth academic knowledge of her specialty to provide individualized and compassionate care to women of all ages. Her clinical interests include prenatal care for both low and high-risk pregnancies, and comprehensive gynecological care spanning preventive, diagnostic and treatment services, this includes minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery, office procedures, infertility, and menopausal symptom management, et al. Dr. Lu is also a BioTE® certified provider, providing patients with excellent bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and guidance.
Research has been an important part of Dr. Lu’s professional life. She has co-authored numerous book chapters and many peer-reviewed articles in a wide range of medical publications. Dr. Lu is proud of her role in expanding the understanding of complex gynecologic issues.
In her spare time, Dr. Lu enjoys tennis, table tennis, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her very active family.
