Jay Marsolan, NP

Jay Marsolan Bio

Jay was born and raised in Southeast Texas where he discovered his love for helping others early in life.

In 1992, while in high school he completed an Emergency Medical Technician course and began working as an EMT with the local Emergency Medical Service (EMS) in the community where he was raised. While attending college, he continued serving in EMS and became a licensed paramedic. After graduating from Lamar University with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Jay worked full-time as a paramedic. During his 12 years of working in EMS, Jay had the opportunity to serve with several EMS departments throughout the state of Texas and also spent many of those years working as a flight paramedic on EMS helicopters. The wealth of experience he gained and his passion for helping others in their time of greatest need inspired him to continue his education and become a registered nurse.

Jay and his family moved to Longview, Texas in 2006 where he worked as a nurse for Longview Regional Medical Center in the Emergency Department. Jay graduated from Ball State University in 2011 with a master’s of nursing degree with specialization as a family nurse practitioner. After graduating, he worked as an emergency nurse practitioner alongside an amazing group of emergency medicine physicians. Jay has also worked as a nurse practitioner in urgent care, family practice and occupational medicine settings.
