Debbie Burkhardt, FNP-C

Debbie joined Northeast Primary Care in September 2020 as a nurse practitioner with 22 years of combined nursing experience. She is certified by The American Association of Nurse Practitioners for the specialty of Family Practice. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science from Texas Woman’s University (Houston). While in attendance, her academic record allowed for acceptance into Sigma Theta Tau (International Honor Society of Nursing).

As a Family Nurse Practitioner Debbie has been trained to treat the whole patient and family within evidence-based guidelines and protocols. That means she can assess, diagnose and treat the majority of conditions that present to the practice. She also knows that patients with complex conditions sometimes need to see a colleague or a specialist. Northeast Primary Care providers work as a team, each with a variety of medical skill and interests. Each of the providers can focus on the special needs of the patients with the support of one another. This is a great advantage for everyone. Debbie wants the people of Harris County and surrounding areas to know she believes in high quality, prompt and affordable healthcare, while maintaining a sense of humor, and it is available right here in Humble, Texas.

Prior to joining Northeast Primary Care, she was a purser for 25+ years with Pan American and United Airlines.

Additionally, she served as a member of the United States Air Force Reserve Officer Corp, 433rd Airlift Wing, Medical Group, Kelly AFB, San Antonio, Texas. She completed four active-duty tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom / Operation Iraqi Freedom.

A Connecticut native, Debbie has been a resident of Kingwood since 1991 (please do not judge her). She enjoys her time off with family, friends, her dogs and prairie dogs, volunteering at Stages Theater Houston and to coddiwomple (to travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination) whenever possible.
