Michelle D. Nguyen, APRN is a native Houstonian born and raised. After achieving her dual undergraduate degree in both Biology and Psychology from Houston Baptist University, she became inspired to obtain a nursing degree. The inspiration came from a voluntary medical mission trip to Vietnam as a translator. During that week of enlightenment and self-discovery, she knew in her heart that she would pursue a career in nursing. In 2010 she graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston with her nursing degree. Her education continued and Michelle received her post-graduate master’s degree from Walden University as a Nurse Practitioner. During her rigorous training, Michelle grew a passion for women’s health which sparked a goal for Michelle to help the community and educate about healthy practices. In her time away from the office, Michelle is married to a wonderful man and has two energetic children who take center stage in their lives.
“Nurse Practitioners are taught to be culturally sensitive and that every individual is unique. Having worked and treated many different patients during my career, I have learned to listen diligently and intently to my patients in order to provide the best care for their individual needs.”
