Philip Hamby FNP joined FMNTX in January 2013. In addition to being a provider, Philip serves as the Clinical Director with a focus on business development. Philip brings with him over a decade of healthcare experience. Philip grew up in small town Mississippi where he graduated early, at the age of 17, to enlist in the United States Marine Corps where he served five years on active duty. His duty took him as far away as Okinawa, Japan and as close as NAS JRB Fort Worth, where he met the love of his life and settled down. After the Corps, Philip attended the University of Texas at Arlington, receiving his Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Philip’s nursing career spanned many settings, including: emergency, post op recovery and correctional. Philip returned to school to earn his Masters of Science in Nursing, with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner, from Texas Woman’s University. Philip continues his service to our country as a Commissioned Officer in the Air Force Reserve.
Philip enjoys primary care because it affords the opportunity to have a long, meaningful relationship with his patients. Philip strives to live by the ethos of treating others as he would want to be treated. In addition to primary care, Philip has a real heart for those suffering with substance and chemical addiction. In 2010, Philip helped to found a local residential treatment center in DFW. He currently serves as the Director of Nursing for Soteria, LLC (www.soteriacare.com), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Arlington, TX.
Philip resides in North Fort Worth with his wife, three kids, Great Dane and Siamese. When not working or with family, Philip enjoys spending time with his church family, exercising, reading books, watching movies, hunting and golfing.

Joyce Chuen is a board-certified physician assistant serving the residents of Denton and North Texas. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Joyce earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. She then earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Biomedical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth. In addition to primary care, Joyce maintains an active interest in mental health, dermatology, and wound care.
Joyce became a Physician Assistant so that she could spend quality time with her patients and personalize their care. She wants her patients to understand all their treatment options and to feel empowered in making decisions regarding their health. She enjoys her work most when she helps patients feel seen and heard and helps solve the problems, they bring to her. Joyce focuses on primary care, Medicare, chronic care management, and medical weight-loss.
Philip Hamby, Nurse Practitioner at Medi Care Clinics in the Dallas Fort Worth area, enjoys primary care because it gives him the opportunity to build long, meaningful relationships with his patients. He takes time to understand his patients’ unique needs and underlying conditions to help them maximize and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Philip has dedicated himself to improving access to care for Medicare beneficiaries. He understands the hardships that patients experience in finding a primary care provider and believes that North Texas seniors shouldn’t have to struggle to find high-quality preventative care.
Philip resides in North Fort Worth with family, dogs included. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating school and continues his service to our country as a Commissioned Officer in the Air Force Reserve. When not working, he enjoys going to church, exercising, reading, hunting, and golfing.
