Joshua Richard, FNP-C

Josh received his LVN Certification from Lamar State College in Orange, Texas in 2000. He also earned his Associate of Applied Science in both Business and Nursing in 2002. In 2004, Josh received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN) from Lamar University Beaumont and his Master of Science in Nursing (FNP) from UTMB – Galveston in 2012.

Josh has held multiple nursing positions, including rehabilitation, med-surg, and emergency room. From September 2004 to October 2005, he worked at LAC/USC as an On Assignment Traveler/ER/Jail Ward ER nurse in Los Angeles.

Since 2012, Mr. Richard has been working in ER, family practice, and urgent care settings, with his past four (4) years working solely in the urgent care setting. Recently, he made the decision to dedicate his time and energy to the process of opening Right Choice Urgent Care, PLLC.

Mr. Richard holds active memberships with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Houston Area Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Alpha Beta Gamma, and Free and Accepted Mason Gate City Lodge #31.

He is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS and is NIH Stroke Scale Certified.

Josh and his wife Shannon have been married for 14 years and have 3 children.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, and cooking outdoors.
