Ashok Patel, MD

Dr. A.G. Patel, MD, FAARFM was born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia, Central Africa. He graduated college/medical school from the M.S. University of Baroda in Baroda, Gujarat, India.

He moved to London, England and worked for two years in the Radiology Department of a suburban London hospital and then two more years in a suburban London General Practice. In late 1978, he moved to the United States to pursue his career as a medical doctor.

In 1980, Dr. Patel moved to Dallas, Texas and enrolled in the Residency Program at the Methodist Hospital of Dallas/Southwestern Medical School. In October 1983, he was board certified as a Diplomat in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Practice and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. In January 1984, he began a solo family practice in Cedar Hill, Texas, where he has been practicing medicine for more than 27 years.

In 2000, Dr. Patel incorporated Integrative Medicine into his family practice. Integrative Medicine is defined as healing-oriented medicine that takes account of the whole person – body, mind, heart and spirit – including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and makes use of all appropriate therapies, both conventional and alternative. In 2001, Dr. Patel became a certified Zone physician and added counseling and education on high dose, highly refined fish oil for chronic illness to his list of practice services.

In 2004, Dr. Patel attended an Anti-Aging Conference in London (AACL), England, which further stimulated his interest in anti-aging and alternative medicine. He has consistently continued to grow in wisdom and knowledge, resulting in him incorporating Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) into his practice in 2006.

He created The AG Patel MD Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine Center and became certified in Ozone Therapy (OT) and Prolozone™ Therapy (PT) by Dr. Frank Shallenberger of The Nevada Center of Alternative and Anti-Aging Medicine in early 2011.

He is board certified as a Certified Chelation Therapist by The American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) in June 2011.

He is currently enrolled in the Masters in Metabolic Nutrition program at the University of South Florida.
