Professional activities also include membership in the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Jefferson Medical Society.
He was most recently on staff at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, North Carolina, where he has just completed his second term as Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He is currently on staff at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas, where he is available for both high risk and routine Obstetrical care, as well as Gynecology, with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery.
He holds degrees from The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, and Appalachian State University.

He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mountain Area Health Education Center division of the University of North Carolina, in Asheville, North Carolina.

Waddell is a Board Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Professional activities also include memberships in the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and the Jefferson County Medical Society. Dr. Waddell is on staff at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas. He is currently serves as OB-Gyn Chairman at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital. Dr. Waddell is available for high risk pregnancy conditions, general obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Waddell holds degrees from Texas Tech University School of Medicine and Eastern New Mexico University. He completed his combined OB/GYN internship and residency programs at Wright State University and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton.
