Melissa’s journey began on a farm in rural North Dakota, where she was adopted as an infant and raised with country values. She graduated from Oakes High School and went on to earn her Certified Medical Assistant credentials from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN. Her passion for healthcare led her to pursue an Associate Degree in Nursing from North Dakota State College of Science, after which she worked as an LPN in the Fargo/Moorhead area.
Determined to grow further in her profession, Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary, becoming a Registered Nurse and serving in Family Practice, Urgent Care, and Hospice. Still driven by a desire to expand her impact, she returned to the University of Mary in Bismarck and completed her Master of Science in Nursing, becoming a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012.
Melissa’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to open Homefield Health in Fargo, ND. When the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, she brought her expertise to Nashville, TN. Her career has been enriched through collaborations with leading specialists in weight management, functional wellness, and cosmetic experts and procedures.
Since becoming certified in Botox and Dermal Fillers in 2013, Melissa has passionately helped clients achieve natural, graceful aging and optimal wellness. Her mission is rooted in empowering others to live their healthiest, most vibrant lives.
Outside of her professional life, Melissa finds joy in the simple pleasures: spending time with family and friends, enjoying nature, and nurturing her creative side through art, fashion, country music, and reading. A proud mother of three grown children and two grandsons, she is also a fitness enthusiast who loves yoga, lifting weights, eating clean, sunrises, sunsets, and time on the water. Guided by a strong faith and a spirit of lifelong learning, Melissa continues to inspire others through both her work and her way of life.
Melissa has also been an educator from Registered Nurse’s to Advanced practice providers and specializing in individualized training for fellow colleagues starting or advancing their careers to include medical aesthetics.
