His goal to offer state-of-the-art alternatives in one location led him to integrate the use of Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and regenerative therapies. HBOT is the only non-hormonal treatment approved by the FDA for biologically repairing and regenerating human tissue. He also specializes in regenerative therapies like prolotherapy, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and cell therapy/autologous stem cell therapy to help his patient’s bodies restart the healing process naturally.
Dr. Schmidt is a Board Certified anesthesiologist and completed training at the Cleveland Clinic and Baystate Medical Center, affiliated with Tufts University. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, Calif. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. His certifications include ASIIP accreditation in opiod administration and coding, suboxone detoxification accreditation, advanced training in implantable devices (spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal pumps), stem cell therapy and hyperbaric medicine.
He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine (AAOM), the North American Neuromodulation Society, the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine and the International Hyperbaric Medicine Society.
Alex Walker is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with a passion for preventive medicine and improving quality of life. He believes in truly listening to each patient and individualizing each patient””s care.
