Biography
Doctor Eric T. Adler, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a facial plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and his degree of Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College. He then joined the Armed Forces of the United States and completed his specialty training in head and neck surgery including facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC. He went on to become the Chief of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery as well as Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at Eglin Air Force Base Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. During his years in the Military Dr. Adler served many active duty soldiers and their families.
He also attended ambassadors and important government officials including Gen. Colin Powell. Thanks to his experience working in the military, Dr. Adler was able to develop and refine his techniques positioning him among the most prominent facial plastic surgeons in the United States.
In 1999 he returned to Puerto Rico to become the first facial plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in the island. Currently is the Medical Director of several clinics dedicated to facial plastic surgery and skin care.
In 2010, Dr. Adler became one of the pioneers in the US using French technology to transplant hair in men and women avoiding the need of invasive interventions and obtaining very natural results. Hundreds of patients that did no consider the traditional hair restoration procedures have benefited from this automated Follicular unit extraction and transplantation. Dr. Adler is a collaborator and consultant for various local newspapers, magazines and television programs such as “Día a Día”, “Levántate”, “Despierta América” and recently “Un Nuevo Día”. He’s also one of the producers and hosts of the NBC/Telemundo show “Latin Doctors” which airs every Sunday at 5 PM. He has also been selected by his peers to receive the “Doctor””s Choice Award” on several occasions here in the island of Puerto Rico. Dr. Adler has also had the pleasure to operate many TV personalities and actors as well as various Miss Universe recipients. Dr. Adler and his twin brother Stephen, also a Facial Plastic surgeon, have recently combined their efforts to establish their first office in Coral Gables in Miami.
Dr. Adler offers his vast experience and combined with the latest technology, offers his patients the top cosmetic medical services under the name of Adler Facial Plastic Surgery & Wellness Center.
