ABOUT THE DOCTOR:
Dr. Heileene Torres-Colberg, is the sole proprietor and medical director of MEDChic, LLC.
After completing her medicine studies and then, her 3 years training of residence in Family Medicine in Puerto Rico, she was conferred with the Academic Achievement Award and was certified as Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine in 2014. She also completed her first fellowship in Maternal Child Health/Surgical Obstetrics and a second fellowship in Faculty Development; both in the city of Chicago, IL. Recently, precisely for her academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Torres-Colberg was recognized by her medical school with the 2016 Notable Alumna Award.
Besides her private practice, she works and is a Faculty Member of the Auxilio Mutuo Hospital and an Associated Professor at the Family Medicine Residency of the University of Puerto Rico. She also maintains her activities as an Obstetrics Provider in the Chicago area.
Dr. Torres-Colberg holds positions in the Board of Directors of the Academy of Family Physicians of Puerto Rico as in the Women’s Health Society of Puerto Rico.
Dr. Heileene Torres-Colberg has made very clear her social and public health commitment concerning women and maternal issues. It is this dedication towards her profession and medical education what has made Dr. Torres-Colberg a local and international speaker, as well as a medical consultant, mostly, in women’s health related issues. One of her goals is to teach, be part and achieve the best and newest comprehensive medicine for women, her patients and for Puerto Rico.
