As a board-certified internal medicine physician and medical weight loss specialist, Maria Briones, MD, is familiar with the problems that you face because of your weight. She has helped hundreds of overweight people living in or around Mt. Kisco, Greenwich, and Westchester, New York, gain control of their weight, health, and lives at Briones Weight Loss Center.

Dr. Briones started her educational pursuits at the Autonomous National University of Nicaragua. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the Autonomous School of Central America in San Jose, Costa Rica. Dr. Briones then relocated to the United States, where she completed her internal medicine internship at Mount Vernon Hospital and her residency at Long Island College Hospital.
To stay up to date with the latest advances in her field, Dr. Briones is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Obesity Medicine, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Obesity Medicine Association, and the American Diabetes Association. She is currently affiliated with Montefiore Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
