CO-FOUNDER, CEO Alicia is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Master of Science degree in Adult Health Nursing from the State University at Stony Brook; where graduated with Honors (Sigma Theta Tau).
Prior to attending graduate school, Alicia worked as a Registered Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center’s Ventilator Medical-Surgical Unit. During her ten years in the Medical-Surgical Unit she mentored and precepted many new nurses and then transitioned to Assistant Nurse Manager. In these roles, Alicia gained vast clinical knowledge, along with teaching and leadership skills. Alicia then joined Doctor’s Care working in Primary Care as an NP alongside her practice proprietor, colleague, and now partner Dr Keith Hoerning DO; during her seven years in Primary Care she gained even more clinical knowledge and began her aesthetic journey.
Alicia dove into the aesthetics and anti-aging industry working with medical spas and plastic surgeons across the North and South Shore of Long Island NY. She received multiple formal certifications from AMET, ESI, and Empire Medical Training for aesthetic injectables. Her passion for aesthetic medicine coupled with her values in ongoing education compelled her to obtain further training in various procedures including advanced cosmetic injectables, PRP, PDO thread lifts, microneedling, and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Alicia continues to develop and maintain excellent, long-term relationships with her clients, aiding them in their health, wellness, and beauty aspirations. She understands there is a strong correlation between emotional and physical health, “when you look and feel good, both physically and mentally, you feel good about yourself.â€
Alicia found excitement and potential in the concept of Science-Beauty-Wellness-Confidence- thus the forefront of Modern Dose practice. She brings passion, motivation, creativity and diligence to the evolving field of Aesthetics and Wellness.
