Justin D. Puckett, D.O., is dual board certified in Osteopathic Family Medicine and Manipulative Treatment and Obesity Medicine. He is the Founder and Medical Director of Complete Family Medicine, LLC, headquartered in Kirksville, MO. In 2006, Puckett established Complete Family Medicine with a focus on providing comprehensive care for the entire family.
Services offered now include areas of focus in Family Medicine, Obesity Medicine, Urgent Care, and other specialties services. He is an avid teacher, working with students and residents in a variety of settings. Most recently he was awarded the Steelman/Seim Educator Award for Excellence in Academics from the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
In 2012 he was named one of Kirksville’s Top 5 under 40.
Dr. Puckett was raised in rural Southwest Missouri. He obtained his undergraduate degree with honors in Biology, Philosophy and Religion at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. It is there that he met his wife, Kylene. They have 4 children: Prestin, Alia, Braden, and Camdin. Kylene serves as Complete Family Medicine’s Chief Operating Officer. He attended medical school at ATSU-KCOM in Kirksville. Dr. Puckett also completed an AOA Fellowship in Health Policy at the New York Institute of Technology-New York College of Osteopathic Medicine during his last year of residency. This is led to an active role in health policy both locally and nationally, always advocating for his patients. He offers staff and patients the opportunity to join him on Capitol Hill each year! Dr. Puckett has served many national and state leadership roles and is the current president of the Missouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Dr. Puckett is also a past officer of a variety of state and national medical societies. He was also Chief Resident at Northeast Regional Medical Center his senior year of residency.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Puckett loves to travel and explore with his family. He also enjoys SCUBA, thrill rides and amusement parks, and being active in his community. The Pucketts are active members of The Crossing Church.
