Mike Turner, MD

Dr. Turner is a Board Certified OB/GYN. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Messiah College in central Pennsylvania. He attended medical school at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He joined the Navy during his second year of medical school and was stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia after graduation. He remained in Portsmouth after graduation from residency as an attending physician for 3 years. While there he served as the GYN Department Head. After completing his obligation to the Navy, he moved to Hamilton AL where he practiced a full component of OB/Gyn Medicine. Dr. Turner specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a special interest in Urogynecologic issues. Dr. Turner performs many advanced laparoscopic procedures as well as in-office cystoscopy, hysteroscopy, and complex urodynamics. In the future, Dr. Turner is hoping to add bioidentical hormone replacement therapy to his offered services.

Dr. Turner has been married to his beautiful wife for thirteen years and they now have four children, three biological and one adopted child. Dr. Turner is actively involved in his home Church, The Ramp in Hamilton AL.

Pamela Lacy, MD

For Columbus native Pamela Lacy, it was all about where babies come from. Apparently, an informative book on the topic made an impression on Lacy as a young girl. That’s when she decided to become a doctor.After graduation from Mississippi State University, she received a doctorate from the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hahnemann School of Medicine and completed her residency at UTSW Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. She was involved in research of abnormal Pap smears in pregnancy and received the Peggy J. Walley Medicus Award in 2006 as an outstanding resident. Dr. Lacy began her practice with Physicians and Surgeons Clinic in 2006 as the clinic’s first female OB/GYN.

Dr. Lacy specializes in high risk pregnancies, infertility, gynecological abnormalities, menopause, preventive medicine and laparoscopic surgery, including robotic surgery.

She is currently Medical Director of Obstetrics at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She is a member of Baptist System Obstetrics Advisory Group. The Advisory Group reviews hospital policies throughout the Baptist system and works toward improvements in patient care.

Dr. Lacy is an expert spokesperson on Midmorning with Aundrea, where she gives medical advice and information on women’s healthcare issues.

Dr. Lacy is a Fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Stephen Kam Otey Sr., MD

After graduation from Union University in Jackson TN, Dr. Otey received his Doctorate of Medicine at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, TN.

He then went on to complete a general surgery internship at East Tennessee State University.

A four year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology followed at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN where he received the “Excellence in Teaching Award”.In 1997, Dr. Otey began his practice at Physicians and Surgeons.

He specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology, menopausal symptoms, urinary incontinence, vaginal reconstructive surgery, infertility and high risk obstetrics.

Dr. Otey is excited to provide both robotic and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgical procedures including hysterectomy, removal of ovaries, and treatment of fibroids.

He is especially interested in vaginal reparative surgery for pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence issues.Dr. Otey is an active member of the medical staff at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center, Amory, MS and Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus, MS.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Obstetrics/Gynecology Surgical Committee at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Otey is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeons.When not with a patient, you will find Dr. Otey enjoying time with his family, church, running or cycling.

Dr. Otey accepts new patients and referrals for all aspects of women’s health care at both the Amory and Columbus clinic locations and looks forward to serving you.

Alison Harris, CFNP

Alison received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mississippi University for Women in 1999. At this time she also completed all degree requirements for Paralegal Studies. In 2008, Alison completed her Master of Science Degree, graduating with honors, in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She is Board Certified in Mississippi and has national certification through American Nurses Credentialing Center.

In addition to being an exceptionally talented Nurse Practitioner, her professional activities include membership in Sigma Theta Tau (International Honor Society of Nursing); and Phi Kappa Phi, an honor society dedicated to the recognition and promotion of academic excellence.

Alison has a passion for the teaching aspect of women’s health, with a strong interest in preventative care and adolescent/young adult needs.

A native of Lowndes County, Alison is married with two children. She is active in her local community and volunteers weekly at her children’s school. Alison enjoys family time, boating and sporting events.

Alison warmly welcomes all former patients and is excited to receive new patients with any OB/Gyn issue. Alison accepts all referrals for Obstetrics and Gynecologic care.

J. Patrick Chaney, MD

Dr. Chaney is a Board Certified OB/GYN. Dr. Chaney received his Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University in 1981. He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, graduating in 1985. He began his practice with Physicians and Surgeons Clinic after completing his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1989.Dr. Chaney specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology, focusing on Robotic Surgery, Pelvic Repair, Urinary Incontinence Surgery, general gynecology, Infertility and general obstetrics. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is the Past Chair of the Mississippi Section of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is also an active member of Mississippi State Medical Association.Dr. Chaney is very involved within his local community. In his spare time, Dr. Chaney enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, reading and exercising.
