Dr. Deborah K. Ekstrom is a native of the Midwestern US and has adopted New England as her home for
the past 30 years.
She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota and graduated from the
University of Minnesota Medical School in 1978. Her initial training in Minneapolis included surgery,
microsurgery, and psychiatry. In 1983 Dr. Ekstrom entered plastic surgery training at UMass Medical
Center and became an associate professor. She then went into private practice with her special
professional interests including face and body contouring.
Watercolor painting, glass flameworking, and photography are included in Dr. Ekstrom’s artistic interests,
and she enjoys gardening and teaching financial and investment skills to women.
Dr. Ekstrom raised two sons and a daughter, now grown, and resides in the central
Massachusetts area.
Makayla Porter M.S., PA-C is a board certified physician assistant dedicated to helping patients look and feel like the best version of themselves, while striving for natural results. Makayla graduated from University of Bridgeport with a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies after completing her bachelors degree in biology at Fitchburg State University. Some of her areas of interest include hormone replacement therapy and in-office procedures, and she has a strong commitment to continuing education and staying up to date on new treatment modalities. When not in the office, Makayla enjoys spending time with family, cooking, interior decorating, and hiking.
