Jen Nugent is a Biote certified provider and has nearly 20 years of clinical healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse, 12 of which have been as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner.
Her ability to create the time and space to listen, understand, and deeply access each patient’s state of being, helps her create transformative and individual treatment plans. Jen has served patients as a clinical provider in Boston and the Berkshires in a range of specialty areas. Samples include primary care, emergency/observation medicine, menopause, and hormonal health, Veteran’s health, cardiology/stress testing, and pre-operative anesthesia services at major regional hospital systems and government health organizations.
She is a champion for enhancing the human connection in healthcare and is the founder of Evolution Health Berkshires. In this role, she decodes and treats hormone imbalances and deficiencies to help empower patients about their health through education and treatment. She helps her patients achieve an improved state of wellness and mitigate risk for chronic disease.
Jen continues her lifelong journey of deepening her scientific knowledge of root cause disease, health, and prevention. Her training is extensive in functional and integrative care models through the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine. Moreover, she holds two bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees and is dual board certified as a family and adult nurse practitioner.
Since 2012, Jen has been involved in the education and training of the next generation of nurse practitioners as an instructor across the state of Massachusetts at various colleges including UMass Boston and Our Lady Of The Elms College.
The creation of Evolution Health Berkshires was born out of an experience of deep loss and grief. Jen understands how the demands of life can shift an individual’s focus in profound ways. She is beyond passionate about your health and the importance of it in your life.
Jen lives with her husband and two dogs in the Berkshires. She enjoys minimalist global travel, front-row seats on roller coasters, 80’s music, long walks in the woods with her dogs, and enjoying a hot oat milk latte at local coffeehouses with longtime friends, and new ones too.
