Paul Flashner, MD

Dr. Flashner is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School. He trained in Surgery and Emergency Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Flashner also completed a fellowship in Clinical Nutrition at Boston University. He has been a practicing physician since 1982 and holds active medical licenses in both Massachusetts and California.

Dr. Flashner has extensive experience in non-invasive facial aesthetics combining facial injections with non-invasive laser and light based therapies. That has been the focus of his practice for more than 10 years. Most recently over the past 3 years, Dr. Flashner served as the Chief Medical Director of the largest non-invasive aesthetic practice in the country. He oversaw the practice and training of an elite group of 35 physicians and 120 nurse practitioners and registered nurses. Using the synergistic and stackable approach to non-invasive aesthetic treatments Dr. Flashner gained invaluable experience in the design and implementation of non-invasive aesthetic treatments of the face and body. He now brings those years of experience to his new practice Skin MD. With 4 state of the art clinics in the greater Boston area Dr. Flashner continues to provide cutting edge therapies and unparalleled results to his patients.

Dr. Flashner also serves as a consultant for Cynosure, Ulthera and Envy Medical some of the country’s leading non-invasive aesthetic medical equipment manufacturers. He is considered a key opinion leader in the field of non-invasive aesthetics, and is often called upon to speak to other physicians looking to expand or enhance their aesthetic practices. Dr. Flashner has trained dozens of physicians and nurse injectors in the art of facial injections (including neurotoxins and dermal fillers). He currently consults as medical director and physician trainer for the National Laser Institute.

Dr. Flashner is a single father to two beautiful teenage daughters and is engaged to be married summer of 2015. When he is not busy taking care of patients at Skin MD he enjoys spending time with his family.

Danielle Shanley, MD

Dr. Danielle Shanley is a board-certified family medicine physician. She has always taken a holistic approach to health and concentrated on integrative medicine in her residency at Tufts. Dr. Shanley has been providing bio-identical hormone therapy to patients across New England since 2018. She finds providing hormone replacement therapy extremely rewarding – her patients often say they “feel like a new person” and that their lives have changed for the better.

Outside of the office Dr. Shanley enjoys urban hikes, running and taking workout classes, and spending time with her husband and son.

Mel Boutin , FNP

Mel Boutin, FNP

is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner certified in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She has a passion for medical aesthetics and specializes in dermal fillers / cosmetic injections.

After marrying her husband in 2019, Mel decided to utilize her Nurse Practitioner degree to help others look and feel their best. Mel brings her vast knowledge of whole-body health, nutrition, exercise, and wellness to the aesthetics side of healthcare.

When Mel is not working, she spends her time training for runs, practicing yoga, cooking, baking, traveling, going to the beach, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Brooklyn Buras, FNP

Dr. Brooklyn Buras is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, from Louisiana State University Health – School of Nursing in New Orleans, Louisiana. Throughout her career, she has exemplified passion to women’s healthcare by providing nursing services to laboring women. She also obtained travel nursing experience in Los Angeles and Southern California.

While working in Beverly Hills, Brooklyn obtained Botox and filler injection certification through The American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. She is also a certified BioTE hormone replacement provider. Brooklyn enjoys implementing evidence-based practice, as well as reading up to date literature and teaching her patients. Currently, she is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as The American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery.

During her free time, Brooklyn enjoys traveling, exercising, spending time with her husband, and cooking homemade Cajun dishes for her family and friends. Some of her favorite meals to cook include seafood gumbo, shrimp stew, and crawfish etouffee.

Crystal Kariores, FNP

Crystal Kariores

is a board-certified family nurse practitioner certified in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, Morpheus8, Neogen, and medical weight loss treatments.
She received her Master of Nursing degree from Umass Lowell and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University. Crystal has had a lifelong passion to help others and has been able to combine this passion to help make a difference in people’s lives for eighteen years as a nurse. Her goal is to make people feel their best both inside and out.

When Crystal isn’t working, she spends her time traveling, baking, at CrossFit, and spending time with friends and family
