Bjarni L. Thomas, MS, CNM

Bjarni grew up in Franklin county and began her career in healthcare right out of high school. Starting as a CNA and then graduated from CMMC School of Nursing in 1996. After nearly 10 years as a labor and delivery nurse she was encouraged by her favorite OB/gyn to return to school to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. In 2007 she graduated from Philadelphia University with her Masters Degree and Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife. She began her Midwifery journey in Waterville for several years,

and then moved to West Virginia with her family, where she continued to work delivering babies in and out of the hospital.

In 2018 she returned to Maine and has been very busy caring for women in Washington Co. She has three grown children and one grandson. She has a loving and supportive partner who she looks forward to marrying someday! She loves to be outside and work on her small farm in East Machias. Her family and her faith are the most important things in her life, however if you ask her children or partner, they will say it is her grandson and her patients. Come see how different it feels to work with a provider that truly cares.
