An Independence native, Hali grew up in Independence and graduated from Independence High School in 2008. After high school, Hali went on to nursing school, graduating with the inaugural nursing class at Coffeyville Community College.

While working as a Registered Nurse (RN), Hali continued her education, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and a Master’s of Science in Nursing- Education from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She then went on to obtain a Post-Master’s Certificate- Family Nurse Practitioner from Bradley University.

Her nursing background is diverse, having worked in the Med-Surg, Observation, Intensive Care, Emergency, and Surgery departments. Upon becoming an APRN, Hali began work in pediatrics and then ultimately family practice where she worked as the sole provider in a small rural health clinic touching the lives of many with her welcoming spirit and listening ears.
