Hillary was born and raised in Abilene, Kansas where she grew up on her family farm. She graduated from Kansas State University with her bachelor’s degree and obtained her master’s degree from Wichita State University. Hillary also has experience as a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine and Infusion Therapy. She enjoys spending time with her patients and getting to know them. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends and helping on her family farm.
Raised on a farm in southwest Kansas, Dr. Goertzen discovered the value of hard work early in life, alongside his passion for helping others. With degrees in Biology and Medical Technology under his belt, he pursued his aspiration of becoming a doctor. Throughout medical school, his focus remained on using his expertise to serve underserved communities, mirroring the one he grew up in. Dr. Goertzen earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his postgraduate residency training at the Via Christi Family Medicine Residency program in Wichita, KS.
Post-residency, he dedicated himself to providing medical care in various small towns, spanning clinic, ER, hospital, and nursing home settings. Additionally, he offered obstetrical, surgical, and anesthesia services. The impact of the Covid pandemic deepened his resolve to enhance disease prevention and health optimization for future crises. Acknowledging the importance of optimized hormones in overall health, he delved into unconventional medical approaches, culminating in the founding of Restore Wellness with partner Hillary Kersten, PA-C.
Outside of his medical pursuits, Dr. Goertzen cherishes family time, outdoor activities, hunting, and the occasional round of golf. He finds solace in podcasts across genres and enjoys attending live concerts with his wife.
