Dr. Steinmann founded Steinmann Family Health in 2005 after leaving a large corporate practice with the intention of establishing his own private practice free of the rules and constraints of the big health systems. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic Medicine in 1982, and continued his education at DMU where he graduated as a DO in 1989. He has worked in many environments as a Family Practice Physician for the last 30 years, and greatly enjoys the variety that family practice brings. His favorite part of practice is interacting with the vast variety of patients that he sees on a daily basis, and building lifelong relationships with the families that he has cared for since birth. He currently sees patients for family practice, osteopathic care, and hormone replacement therapy. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their 6 children, and 5 grandchildren. He is an avid outdoorsman, spending his time hunting, fishing, kayaking, riding his motorcycle, and tinkering in the garage with metal and woodworking.

Lori has been a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner for 24 years after graduating from Drake University, and a Nurse Midwife for 22 years after completing her post masters certificate in 2000. Lori joined her husband Dr. Ed Steinmann at Steinmann Family Clinic in 2007. She has spent her career caring for a wide variety of families, women, and newborns. She has a soft spot for birthing women and infants, but also greatly enjoys esthetics, hormones, laser therapy, and well woman care. Patients love her huge heart and unfailing empathy, and appreciate her vast knowledge and crazy sense of humor. At home, Lori can be found snuggling her Goldendoodles, spending time with her children and grandbabies, and laying by the pool soaking up the sun.
